Information

PAPUAROOM is a form of media advocacy in Papua. It is a Content and Information Network Integrated Program of NGOs Papua. In providing and disseminating information, PAPUAROOM will be managed and functioned as NEWS ROOM. Yet, PAPUAROOM will make use of information network owned by FOKER LSM participants through Region Information Facilitator which is in media term called correspondent / contributor.
Vision and Mission
Vision
: to realize a fair, peaceful and democratic life order on socio-cultural, politic, law, economy and nature for customary community, both men and women, in Papua.
Mission
1. Community Formation in Citizenship lives (Civil Journalism)
2. Facilitating Foker LSM participants’ capacity building within communication and information context based on integrated approach to encourage the establishment of customary and community institutions.
3. Strengthening the existence of Foker LSM Papua as network forum to conduct critical study and public policy advocacy.
4. Developing the information and documentation center to support institutional capacity building and public policy advocacy programs.
5. Seeking support at local, national and international level for program running. 
Objectives and Goal
Objectives:
Civil society can take an active part in public lives, introduce their opinion on welfare and try to implement (Public Deliberation) in program implementation or development endeavor that would enhance their lives, in which mechanism of planning, implementation as well as control/evaluation and maintaining have been organized through the principle of “from, by and for community” (participatory and democratic) in purpose empowering the community itself.
Goals
a. Common Goal 
  To promote community participation and independence in their lives and to improve conditions of citizens’ participation in public lives (Community formation and Public Deliberation).
b. Specific Goals 
 1. Placing mass media role as the “fourth democracy pillar” in public education process
 2. Creating equal information atmosphere
 3. Encouraging Civil society to take an active part in public lives as well as introduce their opinion on welfare and try to implement the concept according to their understanding.
4. Providing and disseminating the information access for civil society
5. Protecting the intellectual assets of indigenous Papua community.

Program Targeting
a. Promoting community participation and independence in accessing and disseminating information in decision making, planning, implementation, observation and development program maintaining.
b. Realizing indigenous Papuans’ life quality
c. Realizing Papua’s Community independence and community institutions in economy, social, politics, law, and culture in accessing and distributing information
d. Institutionalizing mechanism of information distribution and planning, implementation, control and evaluation process as well as development program maintenances in participatory   and in independent manner
e. Minimalizing the gap of information between society, government and NGOs
PapuaRoom is run under the coordination of Information and communication Network Development in FOKER NGOs 
PapuaRoom comprises 3 main instruments:
