Human Rights Activists Issue Recommendation, Hoping No More Torture
JUBI–On April 28-16 May 2008, UN committee for Anti torture concluded its 40th session. This UN body is an independent body which deals with torture based on the UN convention on Anti torture adopted in 1984. The committee consists of 10 independent experts and their tasks are to monitor 140 state’s parties fulfillment of their obligation under the UN convention against torture.
